Educational Qualification:
1.2101-Biotechnology (SBT) – Essential Qualification: First class M.Sc. degree in Bio-technology / Agricultural Bio-technology from a recognized University with specialization in Plant Biotechnology. Desirable Qualification: Ph.D. degree in relevant subject. |
2.2102-Botany (SBOT) – Essential qualification: First Class M.Sc. degree in Botany with Specialization in Plant Taxonomy from a recognized University. Desirable Qualification: Ph.D. degree in relevant subject |

Age Limit:
The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years but not more than 35 years as on the closing date for application. The upper age is relaxable upto five years for departmental candidates (ICFRE Employees). The upper age is relaxable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Divyang categories as per rules of the Government of India subject to production of prescribed certificate from the Competent Authority. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 10 years for Divyang (OH/PH) candidates in identified (*) marked discipline. |
Salary Details:
Candidates declared successful for the post of Scientist-B will be recommended for appointment in the level 10 (7th CPC) of the Pay Matrix (Rs.56,100 – 177500) plus allowances as admissible under the rules/orders of ICFRE. |
ICFRE Scientist-B Selection Process 2022:
A competitive written examination followed by Personal Interview shall be conducted as per the following plan of examination: -
I. Written Examination:- The question paper (bilingual – in English and Hindi) will have total 100 objective type questions from relevant subject carrying Max. Marks as 400, as below: -
